We invite you to join us for an important discussion about the challenges and opportunities facing our local schools.

This town hall will take a closer look at how public schools are funded, the challenges districts are currently navigating, and how recent legislation could impact rural education.
🎤 Keynote speaker Duane Martin will share insights on education policy, followed by a brief presentation and a Q&A panel featuring area superintendents.
💡 Topics will include:
• School funding and state support
• Recent legislative changes
• The future of rural schools and communities
This is a great opportunity to stay informed, ask questions, and have your voice heard.
Open to all residents of Mercer, Grundy, and Livingston counties.

PK-1st grade had a great day at InspireU!
The baseball game tonight (4/23) with Pattonsburg will now start at 4:30 pm. The bus will leave at 2:40 pm from Grundy R-V.

Baseball Update
There will be 3 innings of JV Baseball tonight (4/22) after the Varsity game against Green City. There will be NO JV innings tomorrow night (4/23) at the Pattonsburg game.
Grundy R-V Newtown Sports Banquet

Senior Baseball Recognition - Senior recognition will be this evening at the Newtown/Grundy game. Come support our senior athlete, Dylan Lawson!
Reminder! EOC testing begins tomorrow for our high school students with Algebra 1.
Testing will take place April 21–22. These assessments are important as they measure student learning and are part of how our school district is evaluated by the state.
Please help your student be prepared by ensuring they get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive to school on time.
We’re excited to see our students show what they’ve learned—let’s have a great start to testing!

Grundy R-V will dismiss early today (4/17) due to the threat of severe weather at 1:30 pm for the elementary and 1:38 pm for the high school.
FFA students in Columbia and Yearbook students are going to head back to Galt. Yearbook students will arrive back around 1:00 pm and FFA students will arrive back at the high school around 3:15 pm.
Weather Update: The track meet in Chillicothe is ending at noon and the bus will be returning to Galt by 1:00 pm. More information to come as it's available.
Monitoring Weather Conditions, Prioritizing Student Safety
Grundy R-V is closely monitoring weather conditions expected to move into the area this afternoon. The safety of our students, staff, and community remains our top priority.
District administration is actively communicating with transportation staff, as well as event sponsors to evaluate conditions in real time. At this time, student groups are participating in activities at multiple locations, including an FFA group in Columbia, Missouri, junior high and high school track teams in Chillicothe, Missouri, and yearbook students in the Trenton, Missouri area.
Any necessary adjustments to travel plans, event schedules, or transportation routes will be made with careful consideration and communicated promptly to families in real time.
We understand the importance of clear communication and will provide updates as decisions are made. We encourage parents and guardians to remain attentive to district communications through our usual channels.
We appreciate the cooperation and flexibility of our families, staff, and community partners as we work together to ensure the well-being of everyone involved.
